To Tell the Truth

I recently saw a wonderful advertisement on television the other day. It featured a basketball player. During the fast played game, the basketball player made a foul in which the referee did not notice. He confessed this fact to his Coach. His decision may have meant their loss of the game. His teammates were not happy with that, but his Coach gave him the thumbs up. For the Coach was happy that someone understood the meaning of Sportsmanship.  

Can our politicians tell the truth?

Death Panels ranks at number two of the worst lies in the past ten years.

Sarah Palin voiced this statement over and over to try to defeat Obama’s Healthcare. The elderly remembered this message. The women at my church would repeat word for word the lie that Palin repeated thinking it was gospel. The elderly are most are easily frighten when it comes to their health care, Medicare, and Social Security, all those programs being necessary for their well being. I would guess that many needless deaths were the result of Palin’s lie. My parents who also elderly, questioned this person’s statement. Obama’s Healthcare doesn’t have Death Panels in it.

But there are Death Panels, not named as it were. Every city and town in the land there are children who are in bad medical condition. In many cases, the insurance companies stop paying for medical care for the childen, because treatment would somehow damage the insurance company’s bottom line more.  The parents try to run benefits to raise money for their child care usually not enough and not it time. The funds were usually used for burial. You’ve seen it.

I know there are people with low standards who love Sarah Palin. Once she told that lie, then in mine mind every word she said before that time and every word she said after including the words “and and the” are lies.  It will take more than being apologetic to set this right.

The number one lie for the past ten years came from President George W. Bush when he said that the attack on 9-11 was from Iraq, and that Iraq had Weapons of Mass Destruction ready to be launched to the United States.

Nearly all the Conservatives I met seem to have selected amnesia about the subject. Remember that President Reagan gave military weapons to Saddam Hussein of Iraq. The trouble is Americans do not understand the history of the region. The British controlled the area and then was given over to the Americans. Control of these countries and the wars were all about the “OIL.” Do the research. Once upon a time Pakistan hated Afghanistan which hates Iran which hates Iraq which hates Saudi Arabia. Bush fixed it so that they all hate the USA.

Look at it this way folks, the World as a giant high stakes poker game. You know President Clinton would glad-hand his opponents keeping our nation’s secrets. For reasons beyond belief, W. Bush says to the World that Iraq, Iran, and North Korean are the axis of evil. Wouldn’t that make our enemies nervous? Of-course you all know what happened next…We get hit by a camel shit kicking tribe from a back third world desert country. And worst of all, the FBI knew about it before the event, but was preoccupied with a high price call girl house in New Orleans. Source: 60 Minutes.  

At the start of the Iraq war, American and British controlled the northern and southern third of country in a no fly zone. Also we had UN observers inspection for WMD. What was the hurry? W. Bush lie cost this country thousands of lives and billions of dollars. It cost Iraq more than a million lives and for what? Impatience.

And again people still support Ex-president W. Bush. Would like those Bush supporters to ante up the full cost of the Iraq war, which would help make it right. The needless deaths can never be made right. Prison would be a good answer of W. Bush.
