Imagine if you will three illustrated panels. The first panel shows a child of five years of age playing and happily hopping, skipping, and jumping. In the second panel, a parent unties a knot at the top of this child’s head and begins filling the child’s head with words of hate, ignorance, and bigotry. The child’s head grows misshapen like a garbage bag. In the third panel, the child is now angry and no longer wanting to play, but to fight. This illustrates in the author opinion is how most if not nearly all so-call conservatives are made.
Without knowing it, conservative people usually stay away from me. I guess, I give off that wonderful liberal vibes. An elderly couple in church asked me whether Gay people should be married. I would say, why not? And why is it your business?
At a writers group, a woman wanting to be a writing partner with me, to encourage each other to finish our respective writing projects. When I came to her home, she gave a long list of requirements of what subjects we would not talk upon. The first was about the Harry Potter books. To me a puzzlement, the author of those books was dirt poor and is now richer than the Queen of England. I thought to myself, might this author have some secret in publishing a best seller. But the list continues, no talking about Martin Luther King Jr., Dalai Lama, or Gandhi. Her list went on to include banning any talk on gun control, and allowing Gay people to marry or even to have health care.
I didn’t say that the theme of the book was about anti-gun and peace. The woman had a hissy fit when she read in my writings that the main female protagonist kisses another woman.
I had finished my first book and am now querying to agents. I would have hoped that she would finish her work, but she didn’t. Maybe that’s the difference between Liberals and Conservatives, we Liberals would like all to succeed. Whereas the Conservatives want the Liberals to fail.
Over the past number of months, I noticed the huge number (100 would be a conservative guess) of Hubs involving President Obama, usually about their hatred for the President. This level of hatred is reserved for racism. You can tell this by the amount of time spent explaining their reasons. These authors would dance around the subject of racism beating it to death.
Yes, liberals hated President Bush, but not in the same way. I thought we were going into a Dark Age, and we did. With so many of my friends, co-workers, and fellow church goers blindly following this false prophet, and all I could do was to watch this circus pass me by as I waited for these people to come to their senses.
People do not come to their senses. I have talked (written to) many in these Hubs only to find maybe 99 out of a 100 will not talk civilly to Liberals. Conservatives believe in their Canon and cannot reason it out why.
I have documented Hub authors who say they believe in the freedom of speech only to have them to censor my comments. Other author complains about Liberals who name call against Conservatives/Tea Bagers only to call me names. There is another Hub author who dreams about killing Liberals, and want to know why I don’t show my face.
In the final analysis, Conservatives will ruin this country and destroy the world. It is in their Bible. Many Liberals knows this, and all we can do is to wait and Forgive them.

I like the three panel imagery. It fits.
But I'd note that some folks get taught to hate conservatives.
This is an interesting hub. I find political discussions to be non-productive for the most part, with both sides yelling at each other, yes yelling, even though it may be in print form, and ceasing to even note what the other is expressing. I also hate the many angry hubs that target the president. Some people cannot write a hub about anything without bashing the president of the United States. It annoys me no end, as I want to enjoy reading hubs that do not insult me by insulting a president for whom I voted. They don't have to like the president, but can't they leave him out of hubs that aren't even political in nature. I don't read hubs that I think are going to insult the president, so if I chance to read one of these, the topic was not even political. These people come on my site arguing with me. I express my opinion; that is why I write. You aren't going to change it with five hubs in a row of right winged political arguments before I even have a chance to respond to the first one. Then they come up with complaints like asking me not to write in capital letters because it is either screaming, or hurts their eyes. If it is that much of a problem, just move on to the next hub. Don't attack me with your angry comments, as I don't read them anyway if I get three in a row before I've responded to the first. Sorry, I've gotten on my soap box, but anger on hubpages bothers me. I also have a chapter of Undercover, in which the main character fantasizes about a lesbian. She does not actually do more than that, but the story has a point to it, her uncomfortable emotions interfered with her need to help the person involved who happened to be a lesbian. I haven't gotten any angry comments, but many do not comment at all, and I have no way of knowing whether or not the chapter was actually read, or just clicked on and left unread. Who really cares about another person's sexual preference? Not me, unless I am interested. So what is the big deal. (: v

Your views are corrupted by jealousy and selfishness towards other winners in this country. Your views are based on the fact that if we winners don't pay for loosers like you, the world will end. Our views are, that if such socialism is allowed to happen, winners will become poor, just like the loosers like you that are too stupid and or lazy to work for what you have! I live in a very conservative town. Too conservative to think that change would happen in their community. They promoted all the old time businesses and not the new up and coming companies. They lost their manufacture base by not planning liberally ahead. The loudest members of our sociality are the conservatives. They talk louder than any in the room. They act as if they are always right. They believe that the government and liberals out to get them. Liberals know that these people act like bullies and stay away from them.

One conservative writer which I was able to talk with actually took my advice. He wanted to post chapter by chapter of his novel. Even though his writing was somewhat protected by copyright his main idea was not. I suggested that he take his writings to a college level writers class, and he did. You might consider that also.
That is an example of what we as a people should be doing.

Republicans and Conservatives and others agree in word, thought, and deed. And if you disagree, you never said it.
On the internet when you use Caps, you are yelling. When people yell it is a sign that they are losing control and losing the argument. You are not trusted to be civil. The standards at these Hubs must be low to allow your writings.
You use Spellcheck in your writings, I can tell. It is with many Conservatives who rely on Fox News and like sources for all yours and their information, and don’t Factcheck.
When you use the word “Looser” as your main theme to your rant, It says volumes about your total intellect. Members of your clan can’t even spell the “N” word correct to protest the President.
In your Bio you list no accomplishment or goals. You have no rudder in your life. You have been a follower of those who have no life.
We know Conservatives will ruin this country. In your Bio you threaten violence, like I knew you would. I am frankly surprised that this website hadn’t closed you down.

Soooo your saying when I tell my child to live a moral life thats hate? When I teach my child to be an individual and fend for themselves this is hate? When I teach my child that a man placing his penis into another mans sphincter muscle is perverse and destroys the family unit, that is hate? If I teach my child that accepting entitlements forces others to work harder to make ends meet and that it's not fair to those that truly work and pay taxes, this is hate? you have an interesting way of describing things. I thought hate was the black panthers standing in front of voting booths with night sticks? I thought hate was killing unborn children? I thought hate was taxing others and spending the money on foolishness or without representation? I thought hate was destroying my way of life thru banning the flag and prayer and forcing my cities to allow gay parades in front of my kids? we certainly disagree on what hate filled really is.

Jinks, I truly feel sorry for you, When your children come home with gothic peircings and tats, and proclaim to be lesbians, maybe you can burn some incense and pray to the green gods, then use your entitlements you lied to get from others and go buy some steaks to celebrate. You know as much as I dislike your thought process, I would love to have a beer with you to try and discover where all this strange progressive hate the world bullshit comes from.
Jinks, I share most of your liberal perspectives. I agree that many don't want to listen to other points of view and only want to hate the other side. But I would like to caution that this true mostly of the fringe and does not ring true for all conservatives. Don't let those that just want to yell at you and curse you get you down. That just drags you down. I've conversed with my own neighbors and have been able to have productive discussions. I live in the most Republican county in New Jersey but most are reasonable. Keep up the good fight and stay to the high ground. I enjoyed your hub.
Hey Hubbers, this was an interesting experiment. Several nice people came by, read, and left maybe some Conservatives needed to reflect on their lives. Hopefully some good will come from this.

What these United States needs at this time in its history is Conservatism. We have liberalized ourselves into near extinction. There was a time in this country that Liberalism thrived. My parents were liberals. Wonderful people. John F Kennedy is one of my favorite people in this life. He protected this country against all odds. His tactics won't work in this day and age. We must protect our children by ensuring that they have a Spiritual backbone. This can only be done by protecting OUR resources, OUR economy, and OUR borders. Only a Strong Faith can give us the Strength to Stand against the Spiritual powers of the middle east and the orient. You can bet your bottom dollar that they have infiltrated and made our most intimate knowledge, theirs... May God have Mercy on America.
Hello Hi-Jinks, I came, I read and now I'm out of here... you've got everything under control. I have never in my life described myself as a liberal... a democrat yes, but never a liberal.
I wonder why I have to wear a label... so the other side can recognize me when they spew their hatred and narrow-minded resolve. I wish they would make a list of their ideology so I would know what exactly it is that makes us so different that we can't have civil discourse.
But today, according to somelikeitscott, is BOTDD day and I will give them the benefit of the doubt all day without comment.

Interesting comments. For twenty years, I was married to an abusive, brain washing conservative. I was not allowed my own thoughts. He even wanted to follow me into a voting booth, to ensure I voted properly. Finally, I grew a spine and moved on. Angry people with selfish motives abound in both parties. It seems to be neither a conservative nor a liberal problem. It's a people problem. There are too many people who can't stand the idea of someone thinking differently. Or behaving differently. To each his own, I say.

I cannot speak for all people who take a "conservative" view of things, only for myself. My first premise is that God gave me a brain to think with as opposed to letting my heart guide my decision process. I have no ill-will toward people of liberal leaning and I think that is true of the vast majority of those in the conservative sector. The issues do not lie with the person so much as the directions they espouse. Like it or not, liberalism in this country has focused heavily on social programs that, in many cases, we could as a country could not afford to fund but we still we borrowed from our future to do it. We are doing it right now with no one "in control" willing to put on the brakes. Like it or not, the world we enjoy here as citizens of the United States is driven by an economic engine that is rooted in individualism and the freedom to better one's position in life. If we, as a people, create a government that can do nothing but tax and spend until there is nothing left then we deserve the results of such stupidity. Yes, there is suffering in the world and there always will be. Money will not fix that or completely wipe it out. Yes, there are people in need but there are also many, many people who essentially see themselves as "victims" of the system and are unwilling to do anything but take whatever handouts come their way. In their eyes, "things are free". I subscribe to the process that says everything has a finite limit. One does not create more, they only take from others at that point. Redistribution of wealth and equal sharing of things may have a lot of romance for some but please do not include me in that process for it ultimately fails to work out to a happy ending. A society that looks to government to run the daily lives of people, take their productive from them, and redistribute it, is not my vision of liberty, freedom, or the pursuit of happiness. Now, if that in any way seems like "name-calling", "hatred-spewing", or a distortion of the facts, then as one human being to another you have my apologies. For now, I choose freely to support a system in which I can earn my money, support my family, and provide for our future without the interference of a bunch of tax and spend politicians sitting outside my door waiting for me to come home with the next paycheck. If that is a sick mentality on my part, then I cannot imagine where we can head as a country that makes sense. Thank you for you hub and the inspiration to the thought process that it brings. WB
